MATANOT L'EVYONIM CAMPAIGN - Gifts for the Poor
“Mishenichnas Adar Marbim B’simchah.” As Purim approaches, we increase happiness by increasing acts of loving-kindness, unity and friendship.
For the past thirty six years, Schools, Congregations, Hillels, caring communities and good-hearted individuals throughout the United States, Canada and Australia have participated in the annual
Od Yosef Chai Matanot L'evyonim Campaign - raising funds
which are distributed to the poor on Purim day.
As you know, one of the requirements of the holiday of Purim is "Matanot L'evyonim" (gifts for the poor) whereby we are to give monetary gifts to at least two poor people.
We have the opportunity to fulfill this mitzvah by supporting this endeavor. As in the past, Od Yosef Chai will act as your emissary for the distribution of Matanot L’evyonim.
OD YOSEF CHAI is committed to helping the poor in a manner that does not compromise the recipient's dignity and self-respect. Much thought and effort is given to the achievement of this goal.
Matanot Levyonim
“כל הפושט יד נותנים לו” Surely if we extend our hand to help another, especially in challenging times, Hashem will extend His infinite, kind, compassionate, generous, loving hand and bless us without limit... Good health, prosperity, happiness, nachas, and all goodness!
